Next in line is the John B. Aird from the Algoma Central fleet. Captain Strong must have eased up a bit to allow the Armco to move into mid-channel ahead of him. The two boats were unusually close together!
This boat's modern hull design suppresses the frothy bow wave seen on the other lakers. She is one of the most recently built ships on the Lakes, having been launched in 1983.
