Re: Auto-Sensing Pump and Three-Way Switch

At today's inflated prices of everthing, a $40 switch with an attractive bezel that only costs $40 is an incredible bargain. You should buy one. I was surprised the switch was only $40. I have figured I better go first-rate with the sump pump setup, and particularly because the coastal waters off C...

Moving Battery Out of the Transom Splash Well

The batteries on my [1991 GUARDIAN 19] boat are in the engine splash well as seen below in Figure 1. Image 45.jpeg I am planning to move the batteries into the center console, and also to add a third battery for house use. Is there any reason not to move the two batteries to a more protected locatio...

Re: Auto-Sensing Pump and Three-Way Switch

I really appreciate your thorough reponse. You cracked the code I code not: The switch won’t working properly (without modification) with the current pump. I did find this one, which should, for only $40. https://www.xylem.com/en-us/brands/rule/rule-products/3-way-lighted-rocker-panel-switch/ I do l...

Re: Auto-Sensing Pump and Three-Way Switch

According to the instructions I would ground the black wire, however the black wire for the old pump is connected to the indicator light on the bilge pump switch. Then there is black jumper from the light down to the brown wire. I have search all sorts of manuals and online resources & have not ...

JIMH—I appreciate the guidance. I will be looking for a Yamaha engine, as it seems to be the best option for me.

Re: Buying Used or New E-TEC Engines

Based on the formula [refers to the formula in the federal regulations that can be found in the REFERENCE section article linked above] a GUARDIAN 19 (by my calculations) [could have had a maximum engine power rating of]175-HP. I will stick to a 150-HP engine because that is the original specificati...

Re: Shipping Guardian 19

[The GUARDIAN 19] has arrived in San Diego from the east coast. It has an interesting T-Top. T-Top.jpeg [The T-Top frame] appears to have a channel [that may have been intended to act as a way] to slide in a canvas cover. [Solicits others to upload photographs of the T-Top from this GUARDIAN 19 boat...

Re: Shipping Guardian 19

I appreciate the link I don’t think any cross-USA movement is going to be really inexpensive. Agreed. I am quickly learning this. The very best [i.e., lowest cost for shipping to California] might be $3,500. Thankfully the boat was a steal. [The GUARDIAN 19 boat I won at auction] looks like a great ...

Re: Identify SENTRY from HIN and Photographs

Thank you. It is really cool to hear this level of knowledge on these boats. I appreciate your responses.

If I can find a higher resolution and larger image and zoom in [to show the HIN], I will update this thread.

I appreciate you sharing your knowledge

Identify SENTRY from HIN and Photographs

Please help me identify a boat at auction that claims to be a Boston Whaler, but has the following HIN: BSCYA431K697 A search of this HIN says [this three letter code BSC indicates the boat] was manufactured by BOATSMITH. The hull [seen below in Figures 1, 2, and 3] looks like [a Boston Whaler boat]...
