To make a long story short: I bought back my1989 Outrage 25 Cuddy Whaler Drive Super Console!
I sold it in August, and really missed it. She rides great and fits into my current lifestyle. The guy who bought it soon found a better boat for him (Whaler Justice with dive door). I got it back with many really nice improvements. too--at the price I sold it!
Anyway, I'm back in the Whaler game, but really never left, as I also have a 1965 13-footer and 1986 15-footer.
I'm trying to post pics, but keep getting a warning that the photos too wide. [Yes, if you try to link to an existing image, the image cannot be wider than about 800-pixels--jimh]

Great story! We've all sold things and dealt with the regret that follows. I'm glad you got the opportunity to get it back. Congrats!

I remember when you sold that boat last summer. I think I even spooled a video or two of you cruising along up on plane in nice flat conditions. The price was very reasonable and it seeemed like a lot of Whaler for the money (unfortunately, I don't have space in my driveway for a rig that size.)
Great looking boat -- congrats on getting it back!

Re: Repeat Owner of a 1989 Outrage 25 Cuddy Whaler Drive
Thanks guys. I bought the boat last winter for a great deal. I took a risk because I couldn't run the engines as it was 10 degrees out and 3' of snow on the ground.
After a few minor fits and starts, I got her running GREAT. The engines may be old, but run well and are so simple. Even the VRO's are off so simpler yet.
Project # 1 is getting rid of this hideous leaning post cushion and fixing the underlying base.

Well at least you still have the OEM whaler base under that cushion.

John, perhaps lose the old fiberglass top and make a nice teak one, should last forever with the cover you put on, you could even install a storage shelf or drawer under it, just saying.....jack
