Not sure if I previously shared this. My son made the vid with his drone when we explored a salt water river in the area. I knew he was shooting video and thought I'd watch a bunch of jumbled video, but he edited it down into a nicely presented video to music. I think he did a great job.

Shot with a DJI Mavic Pro, this is the actual vid, video speed has not been altered.

That short video is well done.
Great restoration and peak fun. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Short Film: SUPER SPORT 15 Underway
I recall a shorter version with fewer drone shots. This longer and more-produced version is very fun to watch.
ASIDE: If shooting still images for inclusion a HD 16:9 aspect ratio video, don’t shoot the stills with the camera in portrait orientation.
You cannot get any usable sound with drones—too much noise from the motors and blades. Use a microphone on the boat to get natural sound. Use a windscreen on the microphone. Record the sound separately from the drone footage and marry the picture and sound in editing.
These days youTube production standards are very high, and are often better picture and sound than many small market broadcast station will produce and broadcast.

1986 SuperSport and in the vid it had a 2005 Yamaha 70 2 stroke. The boat now has a new F70 4 stroke with a jackplate.
It's a fun little boat.

Jim - Have you hears of the Sharrow prop? It's a pretty interesting design that eliminates the vortices caused by the prop blade tips and offers a significant increase in economy in the low to mid-range RPM range.
https://www.sharrowmarine.com/
The reason I ask, is the designed was involved with movies and filming and experimented with prop designs for drones to make them quieter. Since the Sharrow prop design really had no market in drone, he adapted it to boat propellers and a revolutionaly new product offering was introduced.
The only concern is cost since it's currentl CNC milled, but moving toward a cast unit would help on price.

Re: Short Film: SUPER SPORT 15 Underway
It is unfortunate that Sharrow has not demonstrated superior performance over a wide selection of boat/engine makes and models. That has led to much doubt of the propeller's efficacy in multiple applications.
I suspect the company may have begun marketing before the product was ready.

I'd doubt any company starting out and running on personal funds or investors is going to sink a ton of $$ into testing the prop on many different boats. Besides, wouldn't you rather the tests be run by a 3rd party independent group?
They did test on a monohull with a 150 Merc, a Cat with twin 300 Yami motors, an Edgewater 37' with triple outboards and other boats. The results are impressive for a simple prop swap. Since production is already sold out, I'm not sure what additional benefit the company would gain by throwing $$ at additiona testing of various other boat and power combinations. The chances we would see a test done on a boat with same same brand, model, power as someone on this site is extremely minimal based on the 1,000s of various boat combos on the water.
The people reading this are not the target market for Sharrow since we are running older boats with considerable less value than the newer more expensive boats being sold. Not to mention the price of the prop is a limiting factor for many of us as well, so why would Sharrow test boats of less value? The question is retorical.

Re: Short Film: SUPER SPORT 15 Underway
At the price point third party testing would suppress doubters which, while costly, would be desirable. Agree with you that if they are selling all their production any further testing is unnecessary.
Perhaps I am mistaken but I believe the so called small boat market would be highly desirable to a propeller manufacturer. Cast steel manufacturing should make the Sharrow affordable to that market.
I wish them success.
