On my 2018 27O DAUNTLESS, when the battery switch is in the OFF position, I hear a pump running and circulating water within the boat.
This also occurs when the boat is running.
I am concerned that a continually operating pump will discharge the boat battery.
Q1: how can a pump on a 2018 270 DAUNTLESS that seems to run even with the battery switch in the OFF position be shut off?

The typical wiring scheme on a modern Boston Whaler boat, like a 2018 270 DAUNTLESS, will have an isolated feed from the main battery that remains on even when the main battery switch is set to the OFF position.
This circuit is typically protected by a fuse or a circuit breaker, and provides power to a lift pump in a sump area of the boat that is intended to lift water from the sump area upward and to an overboard exhaust passage to the sea.
Typically the sump area will also have a though-hull fitting that drains the sump downward. If your bilge pump has a float switch to turn on the pump it may be stuck in the on position.
