c.1994 OMC 115 Jet Drive Power Head Replacement

Q1: will a power head from a 1978 Evinrude 115-HP outboard be a drop-in replacement for the 115-HP Jet Drive engine used in the 1994 RAGE 15?
BACK STORY
I recently acquired a 1994 RAGE 15 in decent condition, however the dry cylinder pressure readings of the OMC 115 engine were not consistent with each other. I want to keep the jet drive, so I hope to replace the engine power head. I found a 1978 Evinrude 115-HP outboard engine whose power head was recently rebuilt and is available at a good price.
