I am replacing the steering on my 17 Nauset. Power will be a new 90 Johnson. What is the best choice for a no-feed-back, non-hydraulic system, rotary or rack and pinion? Any suggestions as to brand or type would be appreciated, as well as the pros and cons of each system.

Eric: You want to use Teleflex's Rotary no-feedback system. The straight rack style does not fit in a Whaler console. Whaler has exclusively used Teleflex for over 30 years.
