I know someone out there can help me. You always pay more buying a new whaler through the dealer versus buying a used whaler.I've never bought a new whaler but there is some advantages.(dealer service warranty service, extended warranty) I missed a 1999 23 outrage twin 135 optis factory T-top,outriggers,leaning post, trim tabs, over board discharge on potti, folding seat in front of c.c.,electronics, pulpit with windlass. There was a few nicks. Some oyster marks on the hull, corroded zinc on the trim tabs, very small cracks in the gel coat at some interior corners, black marks on the hull from a boat lift. They wanted just under 50. For a comparable 2000 model from the dealer we are looking at just under 60.Except no Windlass,no seat in front of console, no over board discharge,no trim tabs, no electronics. October is the begining of the new year of sales.what should I expect to pay for that boat? Thanks in advance.Ed Stone

Ed, I can't really help with the price est., but when I decided on to buy the 21 Conquest I contacted a number of different dealers to see if I could find a "loaded" 21 at a dealer who also handled OMC. The dealer near where I keep my boat had one but we were a few "K" apart on price for a end of model year boat that I wouldn't really get to use for about 5 months. Anyway I told him I would until spring to buy unless I found a dealer who would sell at my price. I contact other deales while waiting and one gave me the price I had wanted without me having even telling him "my price". I bought over the phone and he delivered. Best boat dealer I have ever dealt with. So, my suggestion is to contact as many dealers as you can. Good luck |

Well, I am kind of new to the game but I just bought my 16 Dauntless sight unseen a couple of weeks ago. I looked for a used one but they sell really fast as you know. I looked on the Internet and called around to some dealers here in NJ and also down in Maryland & PA. I found I got a better price when I did that. The place I bought from in NJ was actually the highest at first without a trailer and a larger engine! But it was September and
