Most of the PVC is not structural.
The achilles heal of the seat was the plywood was not sealed.
If you used plywood, cut to size and then coat with epoxy. It will outlive you.

Before you go one step further on painting, DETAIL the boat.

I would consider going up in pitch in the same model prop to see if you can pick up a bit of speed. A 15" or 16" will still keep you in the recommended WOT range. Can you find a seller that will allow returns? We prop the engine not for top speed rather for efficient operation at all speeds.

You are correct. Moving the battery to the center console (cut the shelf so it rests on the deck) will ofset the added weight in the stern.

Unscrew the cleats on the deck and replace the bungie cord. Sold by the foot in a local hardward store. C hook to the hole in the center of the handle base.

No to installing a fuel demand valve. Not required. They cause nothing but trouble. You don't need this.

In the end you will want to switch to a stainless steel propeller. They are more efficient, and with the limited horsepower, you'll need all the efficiency you can get.
