BACKSTORY. I cannot find the exact height of 2024 190 MONTAUK boat on trailer without windshield and grab rail. I want to store the boat in my two-car garage.

There may be a couple of alternatives for getting your 190 under the garage door. I believe the best may be to obtain wheel dollies for each axle. Remove the trailer wheels and lower the jack until the weight is supported on the dollies. Roll the boat and trailer into the garage. Before attempting this method measure carefully to ensure it will provide enough clearance. While doing this remember the trailer jack can be used to lower the bow rail and possibly the console depending upon where your boat sits on the trailer. Also measure the clearance between the keel and the ground, again to ensure everything will clear, especially the transition from driveway to garage apron.

A second alternative is to try getting your 190 into the garage by using the trailer jack to adjust the clearance as you go. Using the trailer jack method may be facilitated by removing the windshield and grab rail. Removing and replacing the bow rail with every outing could soon make using you boat much less enjoyable.

Before moving forward with your effort ensure the boat and trailer are not too long to fit your garage.
