Hello. I'm new to this forum. I just bought a 1982 Outrage that I plan to restore. Can anyone tell me the color and width of the original striping? Black, one-inch? Thank you.

I checked dozens of catalogue photographs from c.1982, and all striping was done in black. The width of stripes probably is proportional to the boat size and where the striping is used. Since no boat length is mentioned in the information request, it is difficult to say exactly what width tape is most appropriate, although 1-inch width sounds about right for most instances.

The stripe on my 1978 Outrage V-20 is 7/8".
