I am looking for a metal transom plate [similar to the SPRINGFIELD heavy-duty Transom TUFF'NER] that mounts with the outboard engine bolts and is inscribed with "Boston Whaler." I have seen them; I had one on an earlier boat; I can't find it now on the worldwide interweb. Thanks for your direction, all knowing Whaler Fans.--BarryCuda

That nice plate looks as though it would be easy to fabricate. Any number of shops could do the engraving. If used in salt water an effective protective coating would be needed.

Butch, I did ask a local alum T-top shop if they would make me a transom tuffner using thi er CNC machine to scribe Boston Whaler; the answer was No! Not thier thing, to much time for a 1 item, and to busy.
Butch your right, I had one of these BW transom tuffners on my c1989 BW Montauk in the salt of SE Fla and Keys, WISHED I had put alums guard on. If someone can help me find this "Boston Whaler engraved aluminium transom tuffiner", I will not forget to put aluma guard on it for sure.

Purchase blank and have engraved locally or vendor will do it on 10+ orders. Group buy or sell on eBay?

Thank you both Butch and Number9 for responding back to me. I have taken your advise and ordered a "blank" motor mounting plate. I Joe I can find a local metal shop with a CNC machine to engrave BOSTON WHALER on it.
