My boat is insured through a rider on my home owner policy, big mistake. I had some damage to my boat's hull and called my insurance company regarding a claim and learned that my "no claim 10% discount" for my entire home owner's policy would go away for even a small claim on the boat policy.

I will be making some adjustments to my policy before my next renewal.
