Value of 1968 Boat Trailer

[Give me an estimate of the] value at re-sale of a 1968 HOLSCLAW model B-1700 pivot trailer with roller bunks.

This trailer is in great shape, but has very minor surface rust where powder coat has been compromised. The meat of everything is in great condition:

• new bearings (3 miles on them)
• new ST 205/75/R14-C Tires (20 miles on them);
• original trailer had 12" wheels, fenders have been removed to accommodate bigger tire.
• has trailer tag but its worn and unreadable.
• has had a custom tongue jack fastened to it which utilizes the spare tire so it is easy to push by hand if needed. Kind of unique aspect but I have found it very handy.
• located in Alberta, Canada

The value to a Boston Whaler boat owner is essentially zero because of the floppy roller bunks. Use of floppy roller bunks with Boston Whaler boats has always been discouraged by the Boston Whaler company.

Location in Alberta, Canada tends to limit potential buyers to your local area. With travel between Canada and the USA restricted to essential travel, the appeal to U.S. buyer is very much reduced. Sale across international border could also create import problems, which further reduces value.

Lack of fenders further reduces value.

Lack of a manufacturer's certificate of origin or a VIN number prevents registration in most states except as "homemade."

WIthout knowing the load capacity rating or the length of the trailer, assessment of value is made difficult.
