I just got a 15-foot hull.. The [Federal HULL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER] on the [TRANSOM] has the numbers “2144 76K.”
[Implied question: what do these numbers indicate?]

I'm still waiting for title so I don't know what year or the style.

Anybody have some knowledge on this?

It's a 1976 model. The stencil number confirms it's a 15 ft and the 4 numbers after the 5a provide the timing when it was made. The HIN has 76 at the end as well.

There is more on that plate but many times they are worn away and hence why they stamp or engrave them into the hull now(also can't remove if stolen). It should say BWCXXXXXX76k which again means 1976. They only made one model back then which was the sport with the wood interior. I don't think the striper model came out until later with the side console and no wood thwarts seats
