Decal Size for 1961 13-footer

I am repainting my 1961 13-footer. When I removed the Boston Whaler decals from the sides and cleaned up the residual glue, I can see a faint outline of what looks to be the ghost of a much smaller decal. The one I removed was about 26-inches long. I've searched for pictures of c.1960 13-foot hulls, and [I saw in those pictures] the decal looks much smaller than the ones I removed

Can someone who has 13-footer measure the decals [and respond to this thread with the dimensions?

It would be greatly appreciated—Ken

There is no guarantee that the decals on some other guy’s 60-year-old 13-footer will be the original ones.

For a recommended vendor for replacement decals see the REFERENCE article at

A BOSTON WHALER decal that was more than two feet long on a 13-foot hull may have been a bit excessively large.

When you purchase the original and genuine decals from the sole authorized vendor, Magic Brush Sign, Janis Teegarden, will tell you what is the appropriate size for your year and model.

Don't waste the same amount of money an authentic set costs getting one on Ebay, Etsy, or where ever. Any Boston Whaler owner worth their salt will spot the incorrect color, font, slant or layout of an imitation set from 20 feet away.
