I have a 1968 13-footer with the blue non-skid interior. [Give me] any suggestions on how to clean it well and maybe polish it. Thanks—David

Last year, I used with great success Sure Step; it shines, stays non-skid, and easily washes off dirt.

Prior to applying the "Sure Step" product, did you follow the two-step cleaning process which the manufacturer indicates is necessary, using their recommended products? Thanks.

I can not stand that prat from Ship Shape. I would never try anything recommended by him.

I have had success with fiberglass medium cut compound (3m or Meguiers) and a bristle brush head on a buffer or drill and then Woody Wax. I covered the entire floor with Dri-Dek after it was cleaned and it never got dirty again.

The prat from Ship shape is obnoxious for sure.
Having said that, the video is from Shur-hold. Everything I've used from Shur-hold, I've really liked. Their cleaning hardware is great, and Buff Magic is admirable.That's why I'm going to give their non-skid cleaning/polishing method a shot.
I'll let you know how I make out.

JRP Yes you are right I did and yes I didn't have to buy the cleaning products as I already had them from working on previous old fiberglass boats. That said I bet using Dawn dish-washing detergent to get wax, dirt, and grease off would work as good for prepping the deck.
