No. The model designation is not encoded in either the stencil number or the federal hull identification number.
At one time Boston Whaler customer service retained some old written records contained in a series of log books. The log books contained hull stencil numbers in order, the date of production, the dealer to which the hull was delivered, and the model that hull was finished as.
In Figures 1 and 2 below are two images that originally appeared in my article on my
2005 tour of the factory.
