The PBS News Hour tonight - July 22 - had a segment about David Zapatka, a photographer who is attempting to photograph every lighthouse in America. The interview was on WGBH, the Boston PBS station. Over the past eight years he has photographed 175 lighthouses, many from his 15-foot Boston Whaler and many by wading into the ocean at low tide. A point of interest is that the only manned lighthouse operating in America is in Boston Harbor.
