Q1: where are the marks for sling positions located on the 2021 250 DAUNTLESS hull?

A better source of information for your very-recently-made 2021 boat will be Boston Whaler customer service. For a boat only three-years-old, they should be able to give you the best possible information.

Generally boat hulls are marked for sling positions in order to locate the stress of lifting the entire boat by two straps at locations in the hull where there are transverse bulkheads and stringers or other structural reinforcements that will be able to tolerate the loading. If a Unibond hull had such transverse bulkheads, they would be embedded in the foam between the hull bottom and hull liner, and not particularly visible once the boat is fully fitted-out with further molded upper layers.

An example of some hull-strengthening structures can be see in the photograph below:


Fig. 1. In the foreground there are two large white structures or "knees" that have been created in the hull and hull-liner assembly to impart more strength to the transom. A transverse bulkhead seen in the forward part of the hull is also there to add strength. These two areas would probably be the best location for placing slings to lift this hull, which is for a 235 CONQUEST boat.

ASIDE: Regarding the mention in the owner's manual but the lack of actual markings on the hull: product literature often contains a lot of copy that is known as "boilerplate" or generic filler material. The 2021 250 DAUNTLESS owner's manual mentioning the existence of hull markings for the recommended location of slings for hoisting the boat may be an example of some boilerplate that slipped into the manual by mistake.
