Q1: what is a reasonable asking price to sell a 1985 Super Sport 15?
In 2021 the boat was re-powered Yamaha 70-HP engine; the engine now has about 20-hours run time. The hull and the rest of the boat overall condition is good for a 1985 model year. Most of the wood is now teak, not the original mahogany.

$15,000 would be a good start

Thanks. I think he wanted to list it for $13,500 and I think that was kind of on the low side.

The model of the 2021 Yamaha 70-HP engine should be clearly identified. If the engine is the popular F70A model, the value added with be significant.
As a price comparison, in Spring 2024 I happened to see a 1976 SPORT 15 with an old two-stroke-power-cycle engine from that same era, sitting on a trailer on the roadside with a for-sale sign about a mile from me. The asking price was $11,000. The next day the boat was gone, and I presumed sold at that price. Compared to that older SPORT 15, a newer SUPER SPORT 15 is more valuable, and modern four-stroke-power-cycle engine is much more valuable.
Other influences are your location, and the time of year (Summer). Both could add even more value. You should consider an initial asking price a bit higher than the suggested $15,000.
Of course, exactly how fast you want the boat to sell is another consideration. If the boat, engine, and trailer are all in good condition and ready for immediate use, your boat should sell quickly. Usually the first serious buyer that actually sees that the boat is in good to very-good condition and completely ready for the water will purchase it if the price is reasonable. And $15,000 is very reasonable.
