27 Guardian For Sale *Sold*

1988 Boston Whaler 27 Guardian
A lot of board members will know far more about this model than I ever will but everyone I’m sure will agree when you see the classic Whaler lines on this scale it’s a heck of machine!
This Guardian has 1988 HIN and 1 and ½ 200 V6 Mercurys (lower unit missing on one) and is currently sitting on a ‘Long’ trailer in Virgina.
The 27 is in need of repair / restoration but now sadly due to changes personally I’m not going to have the time to complete this so reluctantly it’s being offered for sale.
A quick specification as follows:
1988 27 Guardian Hull complete with console / leaning post
Motor well deck NOT WD
Side rails
Various rod holders
Hydraulic steering
Fuel tank / filters etc
T Top (cut off of transport but secured in boat)
2 x Mercury 200 V6 one missing lower unit but both roll over by hand (or did 9 months ago) so may be good for parts or repair
Controls and miscellaneous items
Trailer bunked type manufactured by ‘Long’
This is a project boat but the commercial application of this model, simple nature of the systems coupled with the strength and quality of the build / fittings still make it a viable project and ultimately an admirable boat that anyone would feel safe going to sea in.
I’ll be sad to let go of this dream especially as I’d just found a pair of 225 optis that would have got me up and running but at this moment in time I’m having to be practical (which is no fun!) and hopefully there’ll be someone out there who’ll enjoy this project as much as I would have.
