Where can the cover for the [electrical] terminal block for the navigational lamps for a Sport 15 be purchased?
Thanks--John
SPORT 15: Cover for electrical terminal block
Re: SPORT 15: Cover for electrical terminal block
John--I don't know of an aftermarket supplier of the small molded plastic escutcheon that covered the terminal block for the wiring of the navigation lamps. If any dealer would have a lead on that item, I think it would be TWIN CITIES MARINE in Wisconsin. Try contacting Sue Lodel, parts manager. Please let us know what you find from them.

Ok, thanks Jim, will post a source if I find one.
Re: SPORT 15: Cover for electrical terminal block
By the way, when I had an old SPORT 15, I just used a piece of SCOTCH 33 Plus black vinyl electrical tape to protect the exposed terminals of the electrical terminal block.
An alternative source might be a consumer-off-the-shelf (COTS) small plastic electronics enclosure. The HAMMOND company makes many styles of these small enclosures. See
http://www.hammondmfg.com/scpg.htm
You could drill a hole in the bottom of the box for the cables to enter from the boat inwale bulkhead. Then mount the box to the inwale bulkhead with two screws. Then the battery power wiring can exit the box via a rubber grommet on the lower face. You could also mount a toggle switch on the box to control the lighting.
You can often get HAMMOND boxes from MOUSER ELECTRONICS. Try

If you don't want to order a box, check out your local hardware store, TARGET, WALMART, and other household supply store for a suitable box.
If you can't find a good color, get a box you can paint. Use some beige applicance spray paint to match the color to the cockpit interior gel coat color.

Search eBay using the search terms "electronics project box."
Re: SPORT 15: Cover for electrical terminal block
I bought a Desert Tan-colored box about the same size from China on eBay for my project 15-footer. They are out there, but you have to search. I think it cost $3.

Does this search get you a Desert Tan cover for a 15-footer?
Re: SPORT 15: Cover for electrical terminal block
They are on eBay and they are a darn close match. Here's a pic of the one I purchased last year against the color chart for Whaler desert sand.
If I have time, I will try to find the transaction in my eBay account and follow up with the vendor.

Found my purchase and the eBay listing ended, but I think the listings below are similar.

Re: SPORT 15: Cover for electrical terminal block
Great stateside resource Jim and that would minimize the shipping time as it did take 2 weeks to receive my box that matched the interior perfectly. The orde link you provided is for a 3.5"X 3.5"X 3.5" and that seems excessive in size for what's needed.
