Hinged Center Console; COHASSET Console

Q1: On any boat made by Boston Whaler was the console mounted to the deck with a hinge?

I assume a hinged center console would then tilt forward to allow access to rigging and batteries. I'm sure it's been done.

Q2: How was the center console on a c.1970 COHASSET attached at the factory?

I've never seen photos of the base or mounting scheme.

These are the things that keep me up at night.

I hinged the center console on my 1983 CENTER CONSOLE 15 boat. You can see some pictures here

The helm console of a Boston Whaler 21 WALKAROUND c.1992 boat is hinged. It opens and folds down to the stern, revealing all the rigging.

[After six years the thread has been revived]

I have a 1994 19 Outrage II. The console is hinged and opens forward for access to batteries, charger, fuses, gauges, steering, and et cetera.
