Hi, I recently bought a 1995 Rage 15 with an OMC 115 Turbojet. The previous owner sucked up some sand and the engine overheated so he took the engine apart. From what I can tell the piston needs to be replaced. I just have a few questions as well:
--since the previous owner took the engine apart I don't know how all the power lines and fuel lines connect, if someone could send me a picture or diagram of how they connect that would be admirable.
--is fixing the engine worth the cost and trouble?
--is there an engine I could switch out for the OMC?
Any help is much appreciated

Re: 1995 Rage 15 With OMC Jet
If you plan to overhaul the engine to replace a bad piston you will need to obtain the complete factory service manual and plenty of specialized tooling. Repairs of that sort are not usually done by a do-it-yourself-er.
The service manual will have pictorial diagrams of the engine wiring harness and connections. In c.1995 OMC was just transitioning to their MWS harness system that is connectorized. If the wiring harness has a large red circular multi pin connector then it's the older harness. You can identify the conductors function by the wire insulation color. See the listing in the REFERENCE section.

A complete re-fit with an entirely we engine and jet drive is also quite a project.
