Q1: how does the center console front cap on a 1999 OUTRAGE 21 attach to the main console?

BACKSTORY
On my 1999 OUTRAGE 21 with a hardtop, the center console has two pieces: the main console and the front cap that attaches to the main console. The hardtop connects on the front cap. The front cap is loose and wiggles around with the hardtop.

Unless there are obvious mechanical fasteners that retain the front cap of the console to the main console, the most reasonable method of attachment that does not involve mechanical fasteners would be the two laminated parts at attached with a very strong adhesive.

Well that doesnt sound very easy to fix
