Sue Lodel Solves Another Mystery of an Old Boston Whaler

Postby Maverick » Tue Jul 02, 2024 9:01 am

On a 1976 15-footer that I am refitting, and there is an old tattered sticker or decal on the inboard of the transom that was barely legible.

I contacted Sue Lodel at The Boat House in Two Rivers, and she may have solved the mystery about what the decal or sticker originally said. She told me the image seen below was "found on the 15 foot drawings from the 1980s."

I plan to order a custom made decal based on this drawing from Magic Brush.

ASIDE ON SUE LODEL

Sue is always so helpful. I just sent her an email and she responded immediately. I'll be buying some other things for my 15-footer from her., Her service and her expertise is always spot-on.

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with The Boat House. I just like them and have had great feedback and parts over the years from Sue.

[Moderator's note: I altered the image in Figure 2 so that it read properly. It was oriented incorrectly. I pointed to threads with the latest contact information for Sue Lodel and for Magic Brush. To keep up with any changes in contact information, having just one thread that deals with the particular vendor and their current information is much simpler than finding old information scattered around in various places and correcting it. I combined two posts made about two hours apart into one post.]
