Re: Yamaha style fuel connector
Yamaha certainly must sell the appropriate fuel connector and it would be expected to be of suitable quality for use with a Yamaha engine, generally regarded as the highest quality engines.Kovar wrote:Q1: what manufacturer makes high quality Yamaha-style fuel connectors (preferably made in the USA) that will not fail?
Re: Yamaha style fuel connector
Yamaha sells Yamaha branded fuel connectors.
I recommend SIM Yamaha for OEM parts.

Re: Yamaha style fuel connector
Using OEM parts in the fuel system is a good practice. Another component in the fuel system that should be kept as an OEM part is the in-line primer bulb. Some after-market in-line primer bulbs have check-valves that will not open when the fuel lift pump is operating at low engine speed, causing a restriction in fuel delivery. Insufficient fuel delivery can cause serious harm to an outboard engine.
