Part Number for Temperature Sender

Postby bereswt » Sat Oct 19, 2024 9:32 am

[I have deduced that the cause of an aural warning beep in my unidentified, brand, model year, horsepower, and model of of outboard engines] is caused by the temperature sensor.

Q1: what is the part number for the temperature sensor [in my unidentified brand, model year, horsepower, and model of outboard engine]?

ASIDE: I've looked through many part diagrams but can't find [the part number].

[Moderator's note: separated from an article posted seven years ago that discusses the configuration of the aural alert warning system on older Mercury engines.]

Contact your local dealer that supports the brand of engine you are asking about. I am sure the first thing the dealer will ask you is for the model year, the horsepower, and the model description of youroutboard engine. Without that information no one could possibly answer you question.

When seeking advice about a particular outboard engine, be sure to give the manufacturer's name, the model year, the horsepower, and the model description.
