Q1: what brand of wheel bearings and seals for use on a 2008 KARAVAN single-axle boat trailer is recommended?

Q2: can bearings and seals not purchased from KARAVAN be used?

BACKSTORY
The bearing are for use on 2008 KARAVAN single-axle trailer that came (as new) with my 2008 150 SPORT. Over the years, I have replaced bearings and seals. I have always lubricated them with 2-4-C grease. I plan to carry an [unclear, perhaps meant "extra hub assembly].

A hub is a hub is a hub. The bearings and races inside most any hub will be from the Republic of China. As are most aftermarket bearings. If you want a name brand bearing then I suggest Timken bearings. They may not be made in America but there quality is still far better than most other imports.

Q3: what has been the interval between bearing replacements on your 2008 trailer over the last 17-years?

Q4: is the trailer immersed in saltwater?

Q5: how many miles has the trailer been pulled on the highway?

Interval: Only once around 2015-2020. Didn't need, just figured I should. I'm servicer.

Saltwater: Never

Miles: 5000 at most. Did replace original tires around in 2022 due to center tread worn thin even with inflation at Spec. Winter storage outside on Jackstands.

Notes: Always have had and still have milky grease. Purge completely two to three times each year. I routinely stop at highway Rest areas. Hubs never any more than slightly warm at most. Seals at hub back side show slight residual/no real leak. I've heard of Vault hubs. Not sure those are needed.

Milky grease is not the end of the world as long as it isn't salty milky grease. Purge frequently and don't even consider oiled hubs till you solve the leaks. Milky oil is worse than no oil. Grease is still greasy when wet.
